Thank you for your interest in Hip Hop Wednesdays with Robin Dunn. Robin is committed to teaching you to dance in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Her humor and attentiveness are just what you need at this time. Spend 60 minutes with Robin and take advantage of her loving

ABOUT ROBIN

F.A.C.E. Coach and Choreographer Robin Dunn specializes in self discovery, performance tech- nique and movement. She is the former Director of Amateur Night at the world famous Apollo Theater. Her client list includes Saturday Night Live, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street,
Missy Elliot, Teen Vogue featuring Jive recording artist 'Chris Brown,' The Braxtons featuring 'Jay Z,' Brian, McKnight, Sean Kingston and Disney's Raven Symone.
She was also in charge of operations for Principle Management, the management company representing the iconic rock band U2 and is the creator and Executive Producer of the awards shows Ladies Get Down (A Salute to Women in Hip Hop & more ...) and Fellas Git Dap (A Salute to Men in Hip Hop and more...).

For over a decade, Ms. Dunn has been a faculty member, teaching Hip Hop at the Ailey organiza- tion and Steps on Broadway. She is a former adjunct professor at Hunter College and taught as a guest master teacher at NYU, Syracuse University, Harlem School of the Arts, Earl Mosely In- stitute of the Arts, Young Audiences New York, Ron Brown’s Evidence Summer Intensive, Complexions Winter Intensive, Fashion Institute of Technology, Long Island University/ Hon- ors class, Project Dance and Conneticut Ballet in Stamford, CT. She was the first to introduce the art of Hip Hop dance to New York's Broadway Dance Center and The Ailey School. Ms. Dunn continues to offer specialized Robin Dunn’s F.A.C.E. workshops that include self development, per- formance technique and repertory for dancers and singers in addition to motivational/guest speak- ing for a wide range of events.

Class Description:

Robins motto, “A teachers job is to shape lives, build dreams and build hope for the future.”-Author Unknown. Dunns inspiring style of teaching helps students to be confident, comfortable, and

express themselves more freely through movement. Class begins with a high energy warm-up comprised of technique building exercises, followed by choreography designed to teach foundation and overall ease of movement in a positive and motivating atmosphere. The history of Hip Hop dance is taught through narrative providing students with information about the dance and culture. Students are taught Freestyle Hip Hop inspired by foundation dances including Popping, Locking, Breaking and House. Students are encouraged to apply all techniques and perform to their utmost potential.

2- Waiver: By the rendering of your class fee you acknowledge that by participating in
the classes taught by Robin Dunn that said classes are a physical activity and agree to
participate with the understanding and acknowledgment that you are medically able and
properly trained. You acknowledge you voluntarily participate and assume all risks associated with participating in classes taught by Robin Dunn.

3- Zoom:
All students must have the Zoom app loaded on their devices to participate in the classes. You will receive an email within 30 minutes prior to the class providing you with the link to the class. 4. Attire: Please wear comfortable workout attire - sweat pants/shorts, t-shirt and sneakers.

5. Refreshments: Please be sure to have bottled water to insure you are hydrated. You may
also want to have fruit and a snack. Please utilize best efforts to eat at least one (1) hour prior to the class.

Robin Dunn’s F.A.C.E. is an acronym for “Focus • Attitude • Confidence • Energy • and Eye Contact.” Using tools like Robin’s “Colorizing technique,” as well as her “Self Test,” Robin will take you on a journey of self discovery designed to transform you to success. Robin has worked with such clients as Saturday Night Live, Nickelodeon Missy Elliot, Teen Vogue featuring Chris Brown, The Braxtons featuring Jay Z, Raven Symone and is the former director of Amateur Night Live at the world famous Apollo Theater. Robin is currently on the dance faculty of The Ailey Extension and Steps on Broadway.

 
ABOUT ROBIN:
 
F.A.C.E. Coach, Creative Director and Choreographer, Robin Dunn has established herself as one of the key community leaders within the entertainment industry today. Ms. Dunn is a graduate with a BBA degree in Marketing from Bernard M. Baruch College and has appeared in and choreographed several Off Broadway and Dinner Theater productions. She was Director of Amateur Night at the world famous Apollo Theater. Her client list includes Saturday Night Live, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street, Missy Elliot, Teen Vogue featuring Jive Recording artist 'Chris Brown,' Tony Award winner, Heather Headley, The Braxtons featuring 'Jay Z,' Brian, McKnight, Sean Kingston and Disney's Raven Symone. She also worked for the management team of the iconic rock band U2 and is the creator and Executive Producer of the awards shows Ladies Get Down (A Salute to Women in Hip Hop & more ...) and Fellas Git Dap (A Salute to Men in Hip Hop and more...). Robin's method for breathing life into a performance is through her patented Robin Dunn's F.A.C.E. method. F.A.C.E., an acronym for Focus, Attitude, Confidence, Energy and Eye Contact, is a tightly constructed method designed to develop and enhance artists, business professionals and individuals with being more comfortable on stage, camera, the work place and in their everyday lives. Robin’s F.A.C.E. received rave reviews in Moscow, Russia for addressing 2,000 marketing professionals of Meridian International Group for two consecutive years. The workshops are currently being offered in New York City and are available for venues worldwide.
 
Ms. Dunn has taught at The Ailey School for ten years and was an adjunct professor at Hunter College for six years. She currently teaches Hip Hop dance at The Ailey Extension, Hunter College, and Steps on Broadway. Robin has
also taught at NYU, Syracuse University, East Stroudsburg University/PA Dance, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Earl Mosely's Institute of the Arts, Young Audiences NY, Harlem School of the Arts, Ron Brown’s Evidence Summer Intensive, Complexions Winter Intensive 2010, Fashion Institute of Technology,
Long Island University/ Honors class, Project Dance and Connecticut Ballet in Stamford, CT. She was the first to introduce the art of Hip Hop dance to the east coast at New York's Broadway Dance Center and The Ailey School. She has also learned from and collaborated with some of her fellow luminaries in the industry including Buddha Stretch, Mr. Wiggles, Frank Hatchett and Charlotte Pollak. Ms. Dunn continues to offer specialized F.A.C.E. workshops that include career development, performance technique and repertory for dancers and singers, in addition to motivational/guest speaking for a wide range of events.
