Qatari Artiste – Ibrahim Al Haidous and Swiss Alphorn player Eliana Burki to perform with leading musicians at the Flagship musical event
Alpen Capital and Bank Sarasin-Alpen will host their fourth Global Fusion concert on Wednesday, 22 February 2012, at the Intercontinental, Doha. Global Fusion brings together artistes from different musical genres and provides them with a single platform to perform.
This year's Global Fusion brings together ten artistes from across the world with their varied musical styles. The concert will feature Niladri Kumar – the sitar virtuoso as the lead artiste along with musical gurus like Eliana Burki, Bernard Schimpelsberger, Ibrahim Al Haidous, Abbas Kosimov, Osam Ezzeldin, Chloe Arnold, Sheldon D'Silva, Satyajit Talwalkar and Agnelo Fernandes. Some of the highlights of the concert include the Zitar Maestro, Niladri Kumar, Swiss Alphorn player, Eliana Burki, Qatari Oudh player, Ibrahim Al Haidous as well as the internationally renowned tap dancer, Chloe Arnold.

About the artists:
Niladri Kumar – India – Sitar/Zitar
A prodigious sitar virtuoso from India, whose creative enthusiasm has resulted in him crafting a truly zany & zestful sound in the form of a "zitar", a five stringed electronic, modernized version of the sitar.
Eliana Burki – Switzerland – Alphorn
A Swiss artiste adept at playing the traditional Swiss instrument- Alphorn. She belongs to a new wave of Alphorn players who are experimenting with the instrument, trying to extend its purpose beyond a mere symbol of Switzerland.
Ibrahim Al Haidous – Qatar – Oudh
A popular composer and singer who works with Qatar Radio/Music
Bernhard Schimpelsberger – Austria – Drums/Percussion
An exciting, progressive and innovative Austrian drummer & percussionist, his experimentation has led him to fuse Jazz and contemporary western music with ancient rhythm traditions of the East.
Abbos Kosimov – Uzbekistan – Doyra
An Uzbek artiste who is hailed as an international phenomenon; through his dynamic performances on the Doyra. He is an ambassador of Uzbek culture and was the recipient of Best Musical Composition award from the prestigious Isadora Duncan Dance Award
Osam Ezzeldin – USA – Keyboard
Osam has performed Jazz gigs with the leading jazz musicians.
Satyajit Talwalkar – India – Percussion/Tabla
Son of the tabla legend, Suresh Talwalkar, Satyajit has accompanied major Hindustani artistes .He has also been on concert tours of France, Netherlands, USA,India and several countries of South Asia. Satyajit is a masterful accompanist to instrumental and vocal music.
Agnelo Fernandes – Keyboard – India
A multi-instrumentalist conversant with the Synthesizer, Violin, the Trumpet & the French Horn from India.
Sheldon D'Silva – Bass – India
An extremely gifted bassist having to his credit, a live performance at the Gateway of India alongside multi-Grammy winning vocalist Al Jarreau, George Duke, Earl Klugh and Ravi Coltrane.
Chole Arnold – USA – Tap Dance
