The Ailey Extension and E.D. Entertainment, in association with Divine Rhythm Productions, are proud to present Ladies Get Down, an event created by hip hop’s highly respected Robin Dunn of E.D. Entertainment. In honor of Women’s History Month, the event will feature seven dance workshop classes taught by some of New York’s top female hip-hop artists including Robin Dunn, Violeta Galagarza, Kim Holmes, Honey Rockwell, Miriam Morgan, Marjory Smarth, Snapshot & WandeePop and Tweetie.
The first annual Ladies Get Down Salute - Awards Presentation & Open Cypher will pay homage to women who have contributed to the proliferation of hip-hop dance and culture.

then we want you. We are looking for advanced/professional tapdancers for our main company
and intermediate/advanced tapdancers for our " M.A.D.D. Rhythms Jr. Squad" Training Company (there are monthly dues associated with the training company).
There are no restrictions. Age doesn’t matter. Race doesn’t matter. Gender doesn’t matter.
Rhythm is the only thing that matters!

Elite Tap Feet is the Brainchild of the Keane Sense of Rhythm National Tap Dance Day committee of 2007.
Nick Bowman and Kaleena Miller helped us develop the concept and were also the first choreographers of the project.
The goals of this project include:
Provide a rare opportunity for tap dancers from diverse backgrounds to work with a local professional in a non competitive environment, for a limited time commitment to encourage accessibility and affordability with a long term outcome of building community through tap.
Auditions
Dancers age 12 and up may audition for Elite Tap Feet, bring your tap shoes no prepared material needed

We have found a more accessible and captivating platform to showcase tap - having it incorporated into the acts of music artists like TeAyPe. Through this, tap will reach wider and attract faster than what was possible through an annual festival.
