THE THURSDAY NIGHT HOT SPOT! Presented by Forces of Nature Dance Theatre in collaboration with Jeffrey Page Thursday, January 25th, 2012 - and every Thursday thereafter 7:30-9:00 PM Jeffrey Page, winner of the 2011 MTV Music Award for "Best Choreography" for Beyonce's "Run the World (Girls)", and featured choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance is, after many years of anticipation, finally teaching class on a regular basis in NYC! One of the world's most extraordinary and eclectic choreographers int he genres of modern, hop hop, jazz and West African dance vocabularies, Jeffrey is eager to continue to push the limits of creativity in the context of an ongoing class. The class itself will be a creative exploration of vernacular dance forms from West Africa, particularly, form the countries of Mali, Guinea, Senegal and The Gambia. With over 30 years of experience traveling the African Diaspora, researching its dance, music, historical and cultural traditions, Jeffrey has become heir to a creative abundance that he would like to share with his fellow devotees to African dance and music.

So please come out: if you sing, tap dance, or just to enjoy a wonderful show. JUST FRANK ON THE PIANO. . . On Tap at Joe's Pub Wednesday, February 1 - 6:30 PM It's 2012, and what better way to kick off the year than with an all-new production of ON TAP. In 2011, ON TAP was presented in Los Angeles (at Libertine on the Sunset Strip) in March and returned to New York for SummerStage in July. This February, the show returns where it all began - Joe's Pub! This will be a night of dizzying tap dance and phenomenal live music.
